History of Chuo Gyorui

February 1946 The Central Fish Receivers’ Association was established. It was designated as the Tokyo Metropolitan Fisheries Collection Agency.
July 1947 Chuo Gyorui Co., Ltd. was established.
April 1950 Approval as a Tokyo Metropolitan seafood wholesaler under the Central Wholesale Market Law, granted by the Governor of Tokyo.
February 1951 Trademark registration of the “㊥” mark.
February 1952 Establishment of Chuo Koage Co., Ltd.
September 1956 Approval as a seafood wholesaler granted by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
September 1962 Establishment of Chuo Reito Co., Ltd.
September 1964 Listing of shares on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
July 1971 Became a seafood wholesaler approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
November 1976 Establishment of Kashiwa Uoichiba Co. Ltd.
November 2001 Establishment of Chuo Foods Co., Ltd.
April 2008 Chuo Reito Co., Ltd. merged with Hosui Corporation, forming the new Hosui Corporation as a consolidated subsidiary.
Suisan Ryutsu Co., Ltd. became a consolidated subsidiary.
August 2008 Suisan Ryutsu Co., Ltd. acquired Chuo Foods Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary.
August 2011 Hosui Corporation, in collaboration with Dalian Zhangzidao Fishery Group, established “㊥ Dalian Zhangzidao Central Cold Storage Logistics Co., Ltd.”
January 2012 Jointly invested with Daito Gyorui Co., Ltd. to establish Funabashi Uoichi Co., Ltd.
February 2012 Invested in Tokyo Kitauo Co., Ltd., making it an equity-method affiliate.
April 2012 The Senju branch of Chuo Gyorui Co. was abolished, and its business rights were transferred to ㊥ Tokyo Kita Fish Corporation.
April 2012 Funabashi Chuo Gyorui Co., was dissolved, and its business rights were transferred to Funabashi Uoichi Co., Ltd.
April 2013 In collaboration with Marusui Sapporo Chuousuisan Co.,Ltd. and Sendai-suisan. Co.,Ltd., “TSS Marine Co., Ltd. “ was established.
April 2013 Hosui Corporation established “Sennichi Co., Ltd. “ and made it a subsidiary.
June 2013 Hosui Corporation partially sold its shares in Keiko Suisan Co., Ltd.
October 2018 The Toyosu Market opened.
2019 Acquired the Marine Eco-Label (MEL) certification.
March 2020 Hosui Corporation transferred all its shares in ㊥Dalian Roebuck Island Central Cold Storage Logistics Co., terminating the joint venture agreement.
2021 Acquired FSSC 22000 certification.
2022 Hosui Corporation became a wholly-owned subsidiary. Chuo Koage Co., Ltd. changed its name to Marunaka Logistics Co., Ltd.
2023 Chiba Chuo Gyorui Co., Ltd. was dissolved.
